A further update: the traffic light may be in place for a few days. The drain surround has been repaired, but Sussex Highways has discovered that the gully/culvert beneath the drain has collapsed…so further work beneath the road is necessary.
The traffic light has the added bonus of slowing down all the traffic. The bikers on Sunday may not be pleased!
I have reported this – I suspect many others have too? – please be careful on the bend in the village, as this drain is now seriously unstable….motorbikes, cyclists and small cars will be hurt badly by this.
