Many of you will now recall that our long-standing Postman “Dave” has not been on duty for some time. Our lovely Dave took early retirement due to a back injury leaving us without the chance to thank him for his three decades of excellent service and kindness.
From Monday, 6 February, there will be a book in the Post Office (in the Coffee Shop on Thursdays) for messages, letters and cards, together with a shoe box should anyone wish to make a donation.
The collection will close on Monday, 27th February; aiming for a presentation on 1st March – St David’s Day!
(Not to suggest he’s saintly, merely following a custom of giving gifts on a person’s saint’s day.)
